Seven principles we won’t trade away.
Most products drift toward whatever keeps you inside them. These are the commitments that keep us pointed the other way — written down so you can hold us to them.
We want you to leave.
Every dating app says it wants you to find love. Ours is built so that when you do, you go — Passport retired, account closed, story counted. Retention is not our metric; graduation is. The product succeeds at the moment it stops being needed.
People aren't inventory.
There is no deck here, no stack of faces to burn through on a commute. You meet a few people at a time, introduced with reasons, and every one of them is someone — not a card. Scarcity isn't a trick we play; it's the respect that attention deserves.
Compatibility isn't popularity.
We will tell you why you and one particular person might work: a pairwise number with its reasons attached. We will never rank you against the room, score your desirability, or keep a leaderboard of humans. Compatibility is a relationship between two people, not a market position.
Your relationships are not advertising data.
Data sold: NONE. Not aggregated, not “anonymized,” not traded for reach. What you tell us exists to introduce you well, and for nothing else. You can read everything we hold about you and take it with you when you go.
AI should make humans better at relationships.
Our coach helps you find your words — for the first message, the hard question, the honest goodbye. It never writes as you, flirts for you, or manufactures a version of you that can't sit across a table. The person they meet must be the person who typed.
Friends matter.
Nobody arrives alone. The people who already love you can write references, vouch for what's true, and make introductions with their own judgment on the line. Finding a partner has always been a community project; we built the tools to match.
Success should be measured.
We publish our graduation outcomes — how many people met, how many left together, how long it took. When cohorts are too small to protect privacy, we wait. Lost-to-follow-up is reported, never counted as success. Judge us by numbers we can't massage.
